Sustainability is the new norm.

We are delighted at the certificate for sustainable interiors which we were awarded by the DGNB at the BAU exhibition. The new Strähle offices were brilliantly designed and received top marks from the testers! The certificate was ceremoniously presented by Dr Christine Lemaitre, Chair of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (German Sustainable Building Council) – DGNB e.V., and by Natascha Altensen of Drees & Sommer Advanced Building Technologies. At the BAU exhibition in Munich, the project was shown to numerous visitors as part of the DGNB circuit tours.

The DGNB certification system for sustainable building:

People spend about 90% of their time indoors. That is why the DGNB has developed a new version of their certification system for sustainably built and furnished interiors. The overall aim of this new user profile is to actively promote human health, ergonomics, well-being and efficiency.

Other aims are well-measured use of finances, gentle use of natural resources and the use of low-polluting products. Finally, the system should be seen as a pointer towards more environmentally friendly, health-promoting and economical interiors, with consideration for construction factors such as newly introduced building materials and furnishings.
