Office Metzger, Stuttgart

Esslingen am Neckar: the new offices of the family-run company, Metzger, are situated amongst half-timbered houses and idyllic narrow canals. The Ippolito Fleitz Group created a modern "home-from-home" office on two floors for more than 40 employees. The objective was to create the impression of partner-like togetherness for both customers and staff of the property developer and real estate agent as well as a working atmosphere which reflects the company's philosophy.

Generous open spaces and bright working areas for a feeling of well-being with various niches for retreat not only provide for great variety, but above all create numerous places for meetings and exchanging ideas. It is therefore all the more important that the offices and conference areas function acoustically. This has been achieved with Strähle's all-glass system 3400. Without the use of vertical posts, it combines maximum transparency with a high degree of economy. As a contrast to the coloured furniture, white profiles were used and showcased by the lighting.

The conference rooms were fitted with white portal doors to achieve discretion and privacy as well as a high level of sound insulation. Glass doors were used wherever transparency was required. Effective lamination and curtains integrate the glass walls into the very comfortable design.
