Silvertower, Frankfurt

With its distinctive aluminium facade made up of convex metal sheet and partially curved panes of glass, the Silvertower is among the most unmistakable buildings in Germany. The 166 metrehigh tower, completed in 1978, is a protected building and was carefully renovated according to the plans of the architects Schneider + Schumacher. At the heart of the office space used by Deutsche Bahn (German railways), there are modern and attractive workplaces where employees feel comfortable and which foster a communicative atmosphere. A particularly important challenge was the development of a master concept for the room acoustics.

The conference and meeting rooms were built using solid and glass partition walls from System 2000. Perforated absorber elements from the System 7000 family were integrated into the corridor walls and the think tanks. The result is a contemporary and communicative office landscape that does justice to the interior of the completely renovated Silvertower.
