Bikini Berlin

Surrounded by the symbols of West Berlin – the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Tiergarten park and Bahnhof Zoo station – the revitalized Bikinihaus forms a border between urban space and the Berlin Zoo. Retail shops and gastronomy occupy the lower levels of the Bikinihaus. Exclusive office space designed for an international management consultancy firm is located on the third through sixth floors.
System 2300, which was used for the corridor walls, is particularly suited to meet the requirements of function and design. The surface-flush glazing alternates with solid wall elements made of cherry wood: in conjunction with generous grid dimensions, it produces a homogeneous and elegant appearance.

With its sound insulation values of up to Rwp 49 dB, the wall system also meets stringent soundproofing requirements. The extent to which solid wall elements are used is determined by how each room is used and by its need for discretion derived from this.
